Message about Grammy event
This year's Grammy event was particularly memorable. For the first time, I walked the red carpet with Tia. There were lights, cameras and TV crews everywhere! We interviewed between John Mayer, Natalie Cole, Snoop Dog, Jack Black, Blair Underwood, Wayne Brady, and the incredibly talented Paris Hilton! And a whole bunch of people I didn't recognize. One of the highlights was performing with Tia and the Grammy house band at the pre-telecast.
今年のグラミーイヴェントは特に記憶に残るものでした。チアといっしょに、私は生まれて初めてレッドカーペットの上を歩きました。 いたるところにライトとカメラがすえ付けられ、テレビ放送のスタッフがいました。 ジョン・マイヤー、ナタリー・コール、スヌープ・ドッグ、ジャック・ブラック、ブレアー・アンダーウッド、ウェイン・ブレイディ、そして信じられないほどのタレント性を持つパーリス・ヒルトンと話しをしました！ また、会場には私が名を知らない人々もたくさんいました。今回のハイライトの一つは、テレビ放送前でしたが、チアそしてグラミーハウスバンドと共に会場で演奏が出来たことです。

New Year`s Message
As we begin this hopeful new year, I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to all of you. Your support has allowed me to immerse myself in music for nearly two decades now. Thank you for changing and growing with me as I explore styles, instruments, production, and make mistakes along the way. One important lesson I learned early on - if you make a mistake, do it two more times then it's jazz!
There's a LOT more music I'm looking forward to sharing with you in 2009. Two CDs are currently being shrink-wrapped and a few more are already in the works. We'll keep you posted.
I would like to congratulate everyone on the Spirit of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar CD, and Tia Carrere for their GRAMMY nominations in the Hawaiian category! February 8th is drawing near...I wonder if anyone is getting any sleep these days? Best of luck!

希望に満ちた新しい年の始まりに、皆さんに感謝を伝えたくこれを書いています。皆さんの応援のお陰で、この20年近く、音楽に没頭してくることができました。自身の表現のスタイルや方法、制作物を模索し、途中で道をはずしたこともあるけれど、それでも僕と一緒に移り変わり成長してくださり、皆さんありがとうございます。まだ駆け出しの頃に学んだ一番大切なこと・・・もし間違えをしたら、さらに2回やってみるといい、そうしたら間違えでさえ楽しくなる！
2009年には、もーっとたくさんの音楽を皆さんにお届けしたいと思っています。すでに2枚のCDが工場でラッピングされていますし、さらにいくつかのプロジェクトに取り組んでいます。また状況はお知らせします。
グラミー賞はすぐ目の前です。ハワイ音楽部門にノミネートされた『Spirit of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar』に参加してくれた全アーティストに、そしてティア・カレルに、心からの祝辞を送ります。2月8日はもうすぐ・・・皆、それまでちゃんと眠れるかな？がんばれ！
